[201] Bro. Atkinson expressed himself as not being able, from what had been said to him, to understand the reason of Tyldesley Branch being joined to Mosley Common Branch. He seemed to think there might be reasons which was not to be told, as he could not see through the matter as he desired. I told him if he would live by counsel from those who was in possession of the light of the Spirit of God, all would work right and be right and result in much benefit to himself, whether he was able to see it clearly or not. It is always the safest plan and will [202] result in the most good to those who obey the revealed councils (counsels?) of heaven, which are true, authentic and divine, and those taking that course pursue the best policy. The reason of both branches joining together is because we do not at all recognize Bro.Geenhalgh's belief and practice of Spirit Rapping. Left for Halshmoor, stayed with Bro. Fogg, writing, etc. Had supper, slept and Hollows.

December 31st

Left Hollow's by 8:30 a.m. Arrived at Pitts by 10, wrote until 12. He did not ask me to have any dinner. Got reports and left at that time. Come down to 42, had
