[173] Thursday, November 13th

Received two letters from Bro. Kay in ??? to the one dated Nov. 10th, desiring me to write to Oldham, Ashton, and Bury, informing them that President G.Q. Cannon would be at Oldham Nov. 16th.

In the afternoon [I] visited the Saints. Sister Johnson, who has been sick for about 9 years. Went and prayed with her.

Walk[ed] to Pendlebury through the snow. Attended and spoke about 35 minutes, after which Bro. Pitts spoke. Home.

Friday, November 14th

Rode down to Oldfield Lane in our cart. After dinner got out parcels. At evening, Miles and me went to the Queen's Theatre, come out before it was over and walk[ed] to Bro. Ashman's.

Saturday, November 15th

Wrote a letter to my sister, went to Oldham. Dinner with Bro. Holts. Spent [174] evening with the Oldham Choir (?). Sept at Sister Ashworth's.

Sunday, November 16th

We went to meet our brethren at the station. They did not come. We had a meeting, me and Bro. Schofield occupied the forenoon. Dinner with L. Booth.

Afternoon's meeting

President Cannon spoke to a crowded room upon "the signs of the times," pointed out how people had been "disappointed in the coming of Jesus," referred to the time of "Noah building his ark," etc.

Evening's Meeting

Brother B. Young, Junr. spoke a short time, encouraging the saints to gather where they could enjoy themselves.

President Cannon then addressed them saying how that Prest. Young would sell all his property for the half of its value to gather the Saints.
