    Notes:

    James' christening record definitely shows him as the son of Edward and Ann Singleton, but there is no other record of an Edward Singleton (marriage, children, christening) in the area and time frame. James' christening in 1775 fits perfectly into the family of Richard & Ann Singleton, so I believe that the Edward in the parish records is probably Richard. I have no proof of this, just a gut feeling.
