[39] May 2nd, Friday

Breakfast with Mother and rode with them in the card down to Oldfield Road, got out the Star parcels. Had dinner with Bro. Dame and talked together about good things. I left him about 6 p.m. for home. Supper and lodgings at home.

May 3rd, Saturday, Bolton

Breakfast at home. Visited Bro. Berry, who was not very well. He had been in the warm baths, which had done him much good. Bro. Mitchell Rothwell accompanied me on my way, till at length we parted. I moved on my way to Halghmoor. Bro. Fogg was not at home. I left the parcel of Stars, and arrived at Heelis's, where I had [40] some dinner. Sat talking until all was at home, and in the after had a walk round Bradford Park, tea with them, and Tom with me accompanied Martha to the coach as she was going to Pendlebury, after which Tom and me had a walk round the Town of Bolton. Found some of the Saints who was come to market to buy their Sunday's provisions. We found our way to Halliwell with Sister Alice Howarth. We had supper and my companion-Thomas Heelis-departed home about 10:30 p.m., having agreed to come to me the Sunday morning as I was going to Leigh. Lodgings with Howarths.

May 4, Sunday, Leigh

Breakfast with Howarths, and as Bro. Thomas Heelis had promised me that he would be where I was
