[25] Thursday 17th April, 123
Breakfasted with Father Crocker, who is in his 81st year, and went down to Sister Ashworth. I received a letter sent by Bro. Dame to her to tell all the Saints to be down at Liverpool by the 18th, so I visited some more of the Saints, had dinner with Edward Gledhill, and proceeded on my journey to Clayton, had tea with Sister Ashmans, and attended meeting at 8 o'clock. A goodly number of Saints and some friends was present. Meeting closed and I made my way to Bro. Dame at 123. As he was going home the morning following, we sat and lay in bed talking until the clock [struck?] one and we fell asleep. He give me some good instructions, desired me to be careful of women, for that would be my greatest temptation. I said I would try and do right and shun all evil.
[26] Friday, April 18, home
Up by 5 a.m. getting ready to go to the station, we carried his box to the Orsal Lane Station, and he departed by the 6:30 train, having the good blessings and feelings of all whom he had laboured amongst. Had breakfast at 123, got out the Star parcels. I did not feel so very well, there being a pain in my back[?] which affected me in my walking. Dinner at Bro. Owens, and went to see my father and mother. Had tea with them, went to see Bro. Pitts, Greenhalgh and ???. Had supper with ???, and returned home and slept.
Saturday, April 19, Clayton
Had a good night's rest and felt a little better. Breakfast with them and found my road to 123. Took the Stars to their several places, and had a little currant bread to my dinner in the office.
