[21] Saturday April 12, Bolton
Breakfast with Sister Scholes, and a good conversation with the family. Went to 123, found my Brethren busy with the books. Bro. Dame said I might go to the Bolton Party in the evening as both of them expected to be there. Dinner with our folks, and visited the Saints.
I arrived in Bolton by half past 4 p.m. and had a good time with the Saints, the evening being spent with receition [sic] and singing. Had supper and lodgings with Sister Kay up in Halliwell.
Sunday 13, Radcliffe
Breakfasted with Sister Kay and made my way up the canal side to Radcliffe, found the Saints at school.
Attended afternoon meeting when [22] a good number of Saints was present, bearing testimony, I spoke some length of time and the Saints left edified. Tea with Sister Halliday, at evening addressed them present; for some time on the first principles of the gospel. Had supper with Sister Holt and slept with Bro. James Barlow (who, the Prest. of the Branch said) had been suspended for 12 months.
Monday April 13th, Heywood
Breakfast with Barlows and made my way up the canal side to meet my brethren, Bros. Kay and Dame at Bury, found them at Bro. Entwistle's house, doing business for those who was emigrating. Parted with them there and made my journey to Heywood in company with Bro. Walsh, visited as many of the Saints as I could,
