[19] Thursday April 10, home
Breakfasted with Sister Hollows, and went on my journey to Pendlebury to see Father, Mother and the Saints. Dinner with Bro. Berry and tea at our house. Meeting at half past seven, when a goodly number of Saints was present. The brethren bore their testimony to the gospel, felt to rejoice with the knowledge they had gained. I occupied 25 minutes of the time, felt well in speaking to them. Meeting closed with prayer from Bro. Michell Rothwell. Bro. Pitts along with me visited Bro. Greenhalgh, wife, also Bro. ??? Berry was somewhat afflicted, administered to him. Supper with Prest. Pitts.
[20] Friday April 11, Prestage
Breakfast with our family and went down to see Bro. Dame and found him and Bro. Kay enjoying a breakfast. I told them how I had passed my time over since I parted with them, let them look at my umbrella that had been presented to me by the Pendlebury Saints. I got out the Star parcels, and was quite busy all day with my brethren. Prest. Kay informed me that Bro. Dame was released to go home. This was rather strange to me, as I had expected him to have been my instructor for some time. But his health being not good, it was deemed wisdom to release him. He said if there was mistakes in the body it was not his heart but his head. I hope that I may be able to do my work as well as Bro. Dame. Had supper with Sister Scoles, and lodgings.
